About us


His dream was to live in Australia, but he stayed in Belgium. After being an hospital-pharmacist during 25 years, he started a bakery together with his son.
His "cuisine" is very surprising with -fresh market produce, a lot of imagination, and herbs from his own garden. He prepares excellent dishes. Some of them have been published in high-standard magazines.



As a nurse, she really takes care of you. The rooms are clean, she will make your bed each day following best practice. She has an eye for each detail.
Her breakfasts are surprising: jams and home-made marmalades are served, as well as fresh orange juice and even tea, kept hot by a candle. Enjoying a boiled egg is already an experience in itself.

For both of them, their B&B is their way of life and a never-ending dream.
For years now, they constructed and restored La Calade and made a little paradise of it.

ZwembadThe dinners are heavenly. During years René has been following courses of Provencial cooking. Ginette will serve the only true Marseille bouillabaisse, a remarkable bourride, a brandade de morue and other typical and inventive dishes. René will select outstanding local wines.
The price is really all-in, no bad surprises. From the aperitif to the coffee or tea, everything is included, even the wines. Prices vary between 32 and 35 euros pro person, depending on the day prices of the fresh produce.
